Desert Flower 2009

Varis flees the desert at the age of twelve due to her father's insistence on marrying her off to an old man who is to be his fourth wife. She miraculously escapes and makes her way to Mogadishu, and from there, during the Somali war, she is sent to England through her grandmother's efforts.
